Jean Pierre Bellecave is a practicing lawyer for international firm BCVLex, who has been registered since 1981 at the Bordeaux Bar Association and, since 2011, at the Ilustre Colegio de Abogados de Madrid (Madrid Bar Association). Since 1984, Jean-Pierre has been working both in generalist activities and international legal proceedings, namely in the fields of International Civil Liability and contract law.

Jean-Pierre has frequently assisted and represented victims in aviation legal proceedings. This type of case has allowed him to gain a leading role in legal proceedings in favour of victims of air transportation disasters. Within this field, he often takes part and coordinates legal proceedings either in France or abroad (namely in the United States of America, Egypt, Algeria, the Comoros, Bahrain, Spain).

Because of his 37 years of experience practicing law, he is regularly put in charge of building and maintaining relationships with international plane crash victim associations, which puts him in the position to negotiate with a multitude of insurance companies.

Jean-Pierre has been involved in some of the most important cases in Europe and has been instrumental in creating important precedent that has since become law in international courts, mostly in the area of air plane accidents.
