About Us
We are unique. We are the only group of international claimant counsel working together for the benefit of victims around the world.
Within some countries, victims’ attorneys do cooperate. For example, in the United States of America, plaintiff or claimant attorneys do often work together. In some other countries, each attorney is more apt to work alone. We are the only group of attorneys in different countries, all representing victims in different countries, who work together.
Often victims of a particular harm are located in more than one country. In other words, harm to victims sometimes crosses borders. We cross borders too. Although our clients speak many different languages, and so do we, we all speak English too, making it possible for us to understand and learn from each other. All Global Justice Network members are “online”, using technology to stay connected and share information instantaneously.
Even though our member attorneys work together, each client helped by the Global Justice Network will know which attorneys or law firm members to contact for help and each client can rest assured that his or her personal and case related information is kept confidential.
We have a wealth of experience helping victims with all different kinds of injuries in many different parts of the world. By joining our efforts and pooling our experience we create an enhanced knowledge base for the benefit of our clients.

History
The Global Justice Forum was designed and initiated in 2005 by Lieff Cabraser Heimann and Bernstein,LLP (LCHB) within the framework of its efforts to further and to intensify cooperation with law firms and counsel based and / or practicing in jurisdictions outside the U.S.A.
Due to the inspiration and substantial support of LCHB, and most particularly Mr. Robert L. Lieff*, the Global Justice Network, a network of claimant counsel from numerous countries, was created in 2007 to promote justice for claimants throughout the world. Since then, the Global Justice Network has convened conferences, bringing together numerous attorneys and law firm representatives from 5 continents in different venues including New York, London, Paris, Rome, Vienna, Zurich, Dublin, Krakow, Amsterdam, San Francisco, Rio de Janeiro, Prague and Athens.
The Global Justice Network, originally an integral part of the Global Justice Forum, is now independent from, although closely linked to, the Global Justice Forum.
In 2014, Verein Global Justice Network was created in Switzerland; it is the non-profit association charged with facilitating and coordinating the efforts of our member attorneys.
Membership in the Global Justice Network is growing. As it is our goal to be able to help victims everywhere, we aim for our network to have a member in every country.
* Mr. Robert L. Lieff, Attorney at Law, is the founder, principal architect and visionary of Lieff Cabraser Heimann and Bernstein, LLP (LCHB). Under his direction, LCHB became one of the largest plaintiffs’ law firms in the world with 75 lawyers and 200 employees in San Francisco, New York and Nashville. Mr. Lieff founded the firm in 1972 after having spent seven years in practice with Melvin Belli in San Francisco as a name partner in their law firm (Belli, Ashe, Ellison, Choulos & Lieff). He was a key attorney in numerous landmark cases including Exxon Valdez, the Holocaust litigation, and the National Tobacco Settlement. At the conclusion of 2022, Robert left Lieff Cabraser and his position Of Counsel and is practicing as Leiff Global with offices in Rutherford, CA (Napa Valley) and Montecito, CA (Santa Barbara).
