Silina Pavlakis is a senior partner at Pavlakis, Moschos & Associates in Piraeus, Greece. She graduated from the Faculty of Law of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in 1985 and was admitted to the Athens Bar Association in 1989 after completing her practice. {Master’s – LL.M at the University College of London, U.K., in the fields of maritime law, conflict of laws, carriage by air}. After working for a number of years before the First Instance and subsequently the Courts of Appeal of Athens and Piraeus, she was admitted to speak before the Supreme Court of Greece in 2004.
Her firm specializes in personal injury covering a broad spectrum of areas including medical malpractice, aviation disasters and work related accidents. However, perhaps due to Greece’s status as a major seafaring destination, Silina is particularly notable for her work representing the victims of maritime accidents, having won a variety of major verdicts against big shipping companies.
As well as being a member of the Governing Council of the Global Justice Network, she is also the representative for Greece to the General Board of PEOPIL and a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) and of the American Association for Justice.
