Bert Luyten

Bert is a Senior Partner at Laurius. He assists companies and investors in disputes. Bert is a specialist in dealing with litigation matters and conducting court and arbitration cases. Bert has nearly 20 years of experience in complex company law, financial law and contractual litigation, often in cases with an international aspect. He has successfully represented companies, shareholders and directors in a range of industries, including the banking sector, major industrial sectors, IT, construction and the energy sector, to name but a few. He has broad experience in shareholder disputes, complex financial liability cases and fraud matters. Bert’s extensive experience and expertise ensure that his clients get the best possible result.

Bert was admitted to the Antwerp bar in 1996. He founded Laurius in 2006 together with Dirk Wellens. Bert holds a master’s degree in Law (Antwerp) and a DES in Economic Law (ULB). He has done a special course in Energy Law (IMER) and is a member of CEPANI, the Belgian arbitration body.
